Kinder Circus is a physical development program specifically designed for 3-5 year olds.
The classes are booked by the term, which are aligned with the Victorian school calendar.
The classes are designed to teach young children a range of circus and gymnastics skills in a safe, fun, non-competitive environment. Through a range of games and activities children develop body awareness, self-confidence and independence while playing with others.
Classes during the term focus on different themes to develop their fine and gross motor skills.
The Classes are conducted without parent participation. We encourage the parents to go for a much deserved coffee break after the initial settling in period. This allows the child to focus on the skills without looking to the parent for constant reinforcement.
The instructors are highly skilled physical trainers with a wealth of experience.
Heather Tetu, the founder of Kinder Circus, leads a team of trainers who are passionate about working with this age group.
Heather started with the Flying Fruit Circus in Albury and went on to study acrobats in China with the Guangzhou and Nanjing Acrobatic Troupes.
As a professional trapeze artist Heather toured with Torvill and Dean, Michael Edgley International, Circus Oz and many other international companies.
The trainers rotate during the term to allow a range of skills to be taught across the term. Heather is the lead teacher across all classes ensuring continuity. The teacher/student ratio of 1-8 is often reduced for the younger students.
